Hi, I'm Valerie — and Joseph is my middle name.

Photography has been part of my life for as long as I can remember. What started with a love for travel and capturing the world through my lens eventually brought me to Australia over eight years ago, where I now call the Southern Highlands home.

These days, my life is a blend of photography, creativity and country living. Alongside my photography work, I’m the founder of Bella Mae Australia — a clothing brand shaped by Australian country women and a space where I get to pour my passion for storytelling, design, and creativity into something of my own.

When I’m behind the camera, I’m drawn to golden light, genuine connection and the moments that happen naturally in between. The photographs that make you feel something.

I could say more about myself, but I believe this journey is all about you, your love, and your family. Your story is unique, and my goal is to capture it in a way that words can't.

These days, I only take on a very limited number of bookings each year, which means I’m a little more intentional about the stories I say yes to.
